This organic cane sugar is perfect for brewing kombucha. 

SCOBYs have evolved feeding off of plain white sugar. White sugar gives the best environment for your SCOBY culture to thrive. We like to use Organic Cane Sugar for brewing kombucha.

Feel free to use plain white sugar. Your SCOBY will love it! We don’t recommend brewing with other sugars until you are an experienced brewer and have a stock of SCOBYs stored up (in case the experimental sugar kills your culture). Less processed or unrefined sugars are harder to digest and can cause the SCOBY to starve.
